Let the Blog Begin

This Blog is about Informal Learning.

I tried to write an explanation, then I found this –

"Informal learning is the way most people learn to do their jobs and to get along in the
world. It’s how you learned to speak English. It’s how ten-year old children learn
more about personal computers than you’ll ever know. It’s how you learn to become
a leader. …Informal learning comes from asking questions, hearing stories, watching someone do a task, trial and error, searching Google, talking with the help desk, talking in the coffee room, deciphering a process chart, ‘hanging out’ with people who know, taking advice from a mentor, writing and reading blogs. It is about situated action, collaboration, coaching, and reflection; not study and reading. Outside of work, you learn informally from your parents, siblings, grandparents and, in time, your children; your friends and neighbours; television programmes and so on." Jay Cross abridged from Learning Light (LL)’s ‘Quick Guide to Informal Learning’

So if you need to know about some business matter you are dealing with POST IT Here. I will try to help or maybe someone else might have thoughts and may want to help, you know Informal Learning.

Best,

Ed
